I'm Back!

Hello!

I know I have not kept up with blogging for a couple of months now..I'm not too sure why, I just sort of left it..but I am definitely interested in coming back. I have so much catching up to do. So much has happened and I will totally come back in full force and blog about the events that have taken place in the last couple of months. Today was actually a very eventful day. I went to some friends' wedding <3 It was fab. I absolutely love weddings and love seeing the creativity of the bride and groom shine as they make their special day their own unique event and add touches of their own personality. That's really one of the greatest things about weddings, in my opinion. I loved the wedding, especially the reception venue. It was rustic yet elegant yet classy yet fun all at the same time. I loved the spaciousness, the balloon lighting hanging from the ceiling and the simple decor. I had the opportunity to attend with my sister and boyfriend. My brother Gus was also there, he participated as a groomsman and he looked totally sharp, might I add. Anyway, here are some snaps that will describe the event a tad bit better than I can in words, enjoy! :)

Graduation dress.eeeeeek!

I had some extra time in school so thought I would update my blog :)
Well, as I mentioned in previous posts, graduation is right around the corner! truly excited!! (as I've also mentioned in previous posts hehe :) )...So apparently one of my professors has given the graduation address for a few years now but this year it will be someone new. Anyway, he decided to read to us his last "graduation address"..omygodness! so sweet. Just makes it all feel even more real. I almost shed a tear.haha. for real. It was great. It's very interesting though because some people I've talked to don't see the graduation ceremony as a "big deal"..to me it's a HUGE deal. It's kind of like "closure" to a chapter in my life. Not only that, but I get to share it with those I love, they get to share this important time of my life. I just couldn't imagine not going. YES some people have told me they don't even want to go..they "just care about getting their degree". Well, yes! that's the most important part..but you've worked so hard, isn't this one day, those couple of hours, worth it to celebrate. It totally is to me. But I can understand other's viewpoints as well. Funny because I ask people how many people they are bringing to the ceremony and most will be like "umm my  mom, my dad..some say their siblings too" ...wanna know how many people I've got down to come? 15. yep. And I want to take more. What can I say I've got a huge family. And if I could I would have them ALL there.haha.

So maybe I should actually start talking about the subject this blog was supposed to encompass...the dress! lol..I'm so excited to dress up and do my nails and hair and getting all dolled up for this day. I've been looking on-line for dresses and can I say that it is SO difficult to find modest yet stylish dresses to buy. Most "day dresses" or "cocktail dresses" are sleeveless or too short..then there's the other extreme where you do find modest dresses but they look like something an old lady would wear. sigh. I wish I could find something that looks "hot" but still modest..I know it's out there!! Next weekend I'm planning on actually going shopping since there's only like 2/3 weeks left? of school :D

Diet

So I'm starting some sort of weight loss plan today..I say "some sort" because it's just me working out again. I used to do P90x religiously almost daily but because this quarter's classes are hardcore with work I haven't had much time to do it..so I must MAKE time. I guess maybe waking up earlier..Anyway, I will start drinking only water! and try to eat less and nothing at night..which I do a lot! I am always making PB&J or a quesadilla or anything late at night, mainly because I'm up studying and when I study I always have to be munching on something. Such a bad combination! So today I weighed myself in my broken scale lol..and it said 110 lbs..although I'm sure that's off, the scale will help me see if I have lost any weight..I think my actual weight is somewhere around 120. I will try to verify that  soon.haha. So I just wanna shed  5 pounds. And it starts today! Let's reach our goals! Nothing changes by wishing.
Ps..It looks GORGEOUS outside..can't wait to go out and enjoy. I love sunny days!!

Mother's Day

Had an awesome day. Mother's day at church was great. The food was yummy and some of my aunts went to church..as well as both of my grandma's..but I later realized that I forgot to say "happy mother's day" to my abuelita Manuela :( I will next time I see her though.lol..well It was great catching up with my fav aunt as well and celebrating Melissa's B-day driving aimlessly for a few hours.hahaha..anyway, there's so much more, but attached are some snaps that will probably describe it better than I ever can :)

weekend.

Tomorrow is Mother's Day! yay! haha..thankful for my beautiful wonderful mother! she's an angel sent to help me and comfort me and guide me. I love her with all my heart and don't know what I would do without her. Today I spent the day decorating the church for tomorrow's mother's day celebrations with my sis..it was fun planning it out but a lot of hard work to actually get it done since we decided to do a lot of the decor ourselves from scratch. Loved it though. After that (practically took all day)..I finally got to hang with my love...Hope you have a wonderful weekend :) much love! - Ritz

The sweet end is near.

I can't believe it. The end of my senior quarter is almost here! so happy. This is a huge deal for me. I can almost dance of joy.haha. 5 years I've been at  it. Studying, missing out on fun times, learning. So much that this whole college experience has brought and enriched my life. To think that still some don't support going to college boggles my mind. But I'm thankful to God and my parents and everyone who was part of the journey for making this possible. I can almost cry thinking about all my college experiences, the stress, crying at times, the all-nighters. It's truly been an adventure. I've met wonderful people and had great experiences..and now I'm seeing the end of it. I'm eternally thankful to God for helping me through it all. He has been my strength and my support no doubt. All the glory and honor and praise that can come from this is all really all for Him. I'm looking forward for what the future holds after this. :)  May the job hunting begin....... .."the best is yet to come" <--truth! And that my friend, applies to you :P

Midterms!

Midterms just passed and it was the busiest week of my life. I'm not even joking. This week I didn't talk to anyone that wasn't from school. I hardly talked to my family.haha. Yes, I was FOCUSED. It's my last quarter so I didn't want to let anyone down by doing bad on my exams, especially myself. And unlike most graduating seniors, I saved the worst for last. All my classes are accounting. FOUR accounting classes. For those of you who don't know what that implies, well it's like just making school your full time job. Work that doesn't end...ever! anyway, midterm hell week has passed and I feel so relaxed. Except for the part that I'm still waiting on results.aaah! I'm very excited about the weekend, haven't had a fun one in like two weeks due to all the testing, so I'm looking forward to finally seeing my wonderful boyfriend this weekend and making some sweet memories with him, family, and friends. So during this busy week I was thinking about my relationship with God. I'm sure your life is busy,if not busier than mine. How do you balance time with God, and so many other things for that matter. I've learned to be creative. Sometimes during the normal course of the day we are overwhelmed with tasks from work, school, relationships. So much that consumes our time and it's so easy to forget to make time for God. Well, like I mentioned, creativity is key. Especially if you live a fast paced life. If you don't have time to sit down and have Bible study time then carry your Bible with you (easier if you're a girl, I know).  Read it on the train, on your lunch time, whenever you have free time. Prayer..hmm well personally, I think that early in the morning or late before going to sleep are the best times. But if those times are too hectic for you, or whatever reason it just doesn't work then I suggest during the day if you're able to do it. Anyway, this was on my mind during this week. Sometimes our full agendas take over our life and our spirit grows weary and desperate for Him. We must make time for God, loosing this precious time is dangerous for our spiritual growth and might cause us to become careless for the things of God and even complacent.
